INDUSTRY TASK TEAM FOR OENOLOGICAL PROBLEMS

Due to changes in the availability of individuals, the composition and the modus operandi of the task team will be adjusted from 2000.

Charl Theron, formerly of KWV, will act as convenor of the task team. Due to his part-time involvement in the Oenology Department at the University of Stellenbosch, this department will serve as the team's home base. When necessary, the department will therefore act as co-ordinator of the activities. The handling procedure of any oenological problems will be as follows:

  1. Any request to solve oenological problems may be addressed to Charl Theron per telephone (021 872 7131), cell phone (083 269 0577), fax (021 872 8440) or e-mail (vinofino@mweb.co.za)

  2. The initial analysis of the problem will therefore be handled by the Oenology Department of the University of Stellenbosch and a decision will be taken as to which experts will be involved in the further investigation.

  3. Should the applicant express such a preference, the investigation and recommendations will be handled confidentially.

  4. Any costs forthcoming from the investigation will be for the client's account and will have to be settled directly with the experts in question.
